The Victron Energy IP65 and IP22 Blue Smart chargers from

Blue Smart IP65 and IP22 Chargers

Blue Smart Chargers are the new professional battery charger with built-in bluetooth. The Blue Smart Chargers can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars; motorbikes; boats and camper-vans. The Blue smart IP65 charger is a single output charger, whereas the Blue smart IP22 charger is a three output charger - particularly suited for multi-battery installations on board marine craft.

The battery is charged, smartly... to perfect condition

The multi-step charging algorithm of the Blue smart chargers gets the best out of your battery. The charger gives the battery the power it needs, maintains its health, ensures better performance... and a longer life.

Recovery of deeply-discharged 'dead' batteries

Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart IP65 Charger will attempt to recharge a deeply-discharged battery by force-feeding it with a low current. Normal charging will then be resumed as soon as there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals.

Connect the battery with ease

The IP65 charger has a single output and comes with two connection adapters - crocodile clips and M8 eyelets - making it easy to connect to the battery.

The IP22 charger has 3 outputs, and is connected via screw terminals for cables <13mm2 / AWG16 wire.

  • Water, dust and chemical resistant
  • Multi step smart charge algorithm
  • Automatic power supply function
  • Severe cold performance: down to -30°C
  • Several other battery life enhancing features
  • Low power mode to charge smaller batteries
  • Li-ion battery mode
  • Setup and configure, readout of voltage and current by Bluetooth Smart

What size charger do I need...?

Chargers are rated by their current output in Amps. The output Amps required depends on the capacity / storage (Amp Hour or Ah) rating of your battery(s). A single 80Ah battery will take around 9hours to charge from empty to near 100% full with a 10Amp rated charger. A good rule of thumb is to take the Amp hour rating of the battery, divide by the charger rating in Amps, and then add about 10% for the extra time to totally top up the battery. A boat with two 100Ah batteries would take around 15hours to fully charge from empty both batteries (although you should not let both batteries go flat in the first place!) with a 15Amp rated charger.

Check the status of your battery remotely with the The VictronConnect App:

The Blue Smart IP65 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth, so the status of the charger and the battery can be checked on a smartphone, tablet or laptop. All settings of the charger can be configured with the VictronConnect app.

You can display the status of your charger and battery and even control the functions of your charger using the VictronConnect app. On your screen the readout of voltage and current is available.
